Hooting Owl South Yorkshire Gin is a traditional London Dry Gin containing 18 botanicals which include:
Juniper, Coriander Seeds, Bitter Orange Peel, Grapefruit Peel, Kafir Lime Leaves, Angelica Root, Orris Root, Liquorice, Grains of Paradise, Dandelion Root, Rosemary and Mint amongst others.
Inspired by the Barnsley Chop, these botanicals and the lovingly accurate way in which we distil our gins makes for a very smooth flavour packed "Herby" gin.
As in all true gins, the taste explosion starts with Juniper, followed by the citrus notes of the bitter orange and grapefruit, the earthiness of the Mountain Ash all complimented by the sweetness of the liquorice and cassia bark with a hint of mint and then the rosemary finish, beautiful.
Serve over ice, with one part Gin and three parts of the tonic of your choosing add a sprig of mint and a sprig of rosemary, at Hooting Owl, we use a plain quality tonic as we believe that the flavour should come from the gin not the tonic.
